???? Thought of the day with politicians and the federal elections in Bern on December 13, 2023. It really is :

???? Translation of the text by Martin Hasler, who addresses the outgoing Federal Councillor using the very words he used!
Let me add: Honesty should begin at home!
✍???? Martin Hasler worked for Swiss television in the Federal Palace studio from 1982-2021. He saw a total of 37 federal councillors. In 2021, he left the company because of the discrepancies in Covid's media coverage, described in a book.
The text:
To Alain Berset
On the resignation of Alain Berset, Federal Councillor, Minister of Health and President of the Confederation - Martin Hasler - December 2023
Federal Councillors and Presidents come and go. Such is the case with Alain Berset, long-standing Federal Councillor and this year's President of the Confederation. His departure provides us with an opportunity to reflect on the mark our health minister and President of the Confederation will leave on our nation.
Imagine the President of the Swiss Confederation addressing the nation on the occasion of his resignation, asking for forgiveness for bad decisions and fraud. This is certainly not a common occurrence. Nevertheless, I'd like to take a few minutes to consider this hypothesis. After all, the question is not whether such a scenario is realistic, but only whether it is urgently necessary. Such an apology from an outgoing Federal Councillor could indeed turn many an emergency around.
My appeal today is therefore addressed directly to our outgoing President, in the hope that these thoughts sent out will not return empty. As the saying goes: hope is the last to die. And it is precisely this hope that we must never abandon. Hope, for example, that the relentless fight against manipulation, abuse of power and injustice will increasingly give way to truth, freedom and justice.
Exposed, manipulation opens the way to truth. Unmasked, abuse of power opens the way to freedom. And a determined fight against all injustices will allow justice to flourish throughout a nation. It's high time we used all the means at our disposal to wage this fight for truth, freedom and justice with all the seriousness and determination necessary!
Have MPs at all political levels accomplished this for us, the people, during the last legislature? Did they value truth, freedom and justice above their own benefits and image? Have the journalists of the various media houses taken this on board and committed themselves unconditionally to the journalistic code and ethics of independence and truth, despite any inconvenience? And my question to our outgoing President of the Confederation: Have you done so, Mr. Berset? Did you commit yourself unconditionally to truth, freedom and justice during the last 12 years of your mandate as Federal Councillor? Raising your hand, you swore before Almighty God to respect the Constitution and the laws, and to conscientiously fulfill the duties of your office. You have done just the opposite: for the past three years, instead of respecting our Constitution, you have scorned and trampled it underfoot.
In your speech at the election to the presidency of the Swiss Confederation on December 7, 2022, you emphasized: "Together, we must fight to find solutions for a Switzerland that not only defends democracy, but also develops it. What kind of democracy were you talking about? Are you talking about a democracy that is subject to emergency law during crises, and is therefore no longer a democracy when it matters most - as we have already experienced twice in the last three years? Do you seriously believe that a population thus humiliated and deprived of its rights can take the hypocritical words of its president seriously? In the context of the last three years, your fine words at the time represent nothing but hypocrisy, mockery and derision for many of our fellow citizens.
In your speech following your election as President of the Swiss Confederation, you once again emphasized the importance for Switzerland of better exploiting the potential of inclusion. In other words, everyone must be included: no one should be excluded from society. By definition, inclusion must create an environment that enables everyone to participate in social life on an equal footing. Through your Covid policy, you have achieved exactly the opposite, namely an unbearable division of society and discrimination against those who have not submitted wholeheartedly to your Covid regime. I ask you, Mr. Berset: how can citizens take their President of the Confederation seriously if he does exactly the opposite of what he advocates in fine speeches?
I would also like to remind you of your demand to the Federal Assembly following your first election as President of the Confederation in December 2017: "We must take an interest in each other. We must put ourselves in other people's shoes and understand how they see things". Mr. Berset, could you please translate and explain this requirement to all those who had to leave their loved ones to die alone in their retirement homes, while you tried to push your obsession with vaccines and certificates ever further? And could you also explain this demand to all those who were vaccinated against their will as a result of your outrageous push for vaccination, and who are now suffering serious vaccine-related harm? Each of these deaths and victims weighs heavily on your conscience. When are you going to apologize for the unspeakable suffering inflicted on so many people? I'm thinking of the numerous bankruptcies and business closures following unjustified confinements. I remember the countless public and professional humiliations inflicted on all those who had formed a nuanced personal opinion and were prepared to assume their responsibilities. Clearly, you had already forgotten that two years earlier, you had so arrogantly demanded that we take an interest in each other and put ourselves in their shoes to understand their point of view.
Mr. Berset, even though you are now stepping down as President of the Swiss Confederation and Minister of Health, I would like to challenge you in your own words: Yes, finally take an interest in those who think differently. Put yourself in other people's shoes to understand their point of view. In your intoxication with power, you didn't hesitate to lie to the sovereign about the effectiveness of the Covid vaccine by spreading the claim, long since refuted, that the certificate proved that you weren't contagious. With this sleight of hand, you fooled the public and won the Covid vote once again. No wonder the majority of voters supported your underhand manipulation three times in a row. But to believe, as you said yourself, that the control of the pandemic is now complete thanks to this third alleged victory in the vote is a big mistake. The fraud was unmasked a long time ago, even if the system's media still refuse to admit it. The accounting and processing of your policies over the last three years has not even begun. If you think that, once your work is done, you'll be able to sneak out the back door with a few glorious words of farewell, then you're mistaken.
To conclude, allow me to remind you of a few thoughts from my book "Im Hexenkessel der Bundeshaus-Medien" (In the media cauldron of the Federal Palace):
Mr. Berset, have you ever considered a very important law that doesn't appear in the Constitution, the Civil Code, the Penal Code or Covid law: the natural law of sowing and reaping? Have you ever thought about the fact that everyone, whatever their profession, is a sower? Have you ever thought deeply about the kind of seeds you sow with the policies you pursue? I'm thinking of the sword of Damocles you constantly brandish over the bewitching caseload and the blackmail it exerts on the population. I'm thinking of those who find themselves unemployed because of your measures. I'm thinking of the countless people who, in despair and distress, have fallen victim to your Covid madness and committed suicide. I'm thinking of a testing system deliberately put in place, but ineffective, in order to be able to continue to maintain fear among the population. I'm thinking of the discrimination of thousands and thousands of people by the application of the Covid law, despite the prohibition of discrimination enshrined in the Constitution. It was you, Mr. Berset, who "sowed" all this in our country. I think it's high time you thought about your harvest. I can only advise you to fundamentally rethink your "sowing policy" in the light of the well-known quote: Make no mistake, what man sows, he will reap.
